When I saw this bike, calling the builder, Simone Conti, to get some pics and details was a matter of a flash.

To build this incredibile bike around a Buell X1 engine, Simone Conti started from scratch. He built a steel custom frame, a self designed
and stylish swingarm (17 kg both comonents) mounted a complete Ducati
1098 front end, and built a very personal handmade aluminium bodywork
with a 11 lt. tank. The aluminium end bit under the engine works as oil
tank. The rims are coming from a Ducati 999… The rest was entirely made
in-house… The result is a unique motorcycle which weights only 169 kg.

Per costruire questa moto incredibile intorno a un motore Buell X1, Simone Contiè partito da un foglio bianco. Ha costruito un telaio in acciaio, un
particolarissimo forcellone auto progettato (le due componenti pesano
solo 17 kg), ha montato un avantreno completo Ducati 1098, e ha
realizzato a mano una carrozzeria molto personale in alluminio con un
serbatoio da 11 litri. Il puntale in alluminio funge da serbatoio
dell'olio. I cerchi sono provenienti da una Ducati 999... Tutto il resto
è stato realizzato interamente in-house ... Il risultato è una e moto
unica di soli 169 kg. Quando si parla di speciali con la S maiuscola, si
parla di questo.
