My friends
Mark Hawwa of
Sidney Cafe Racer and
Rex Havoc of
Garage Project Motorcycleswill be proud of me. The
Distinguished Gentleman's Ride held in Rome last September 30th reached the honors of the press and a three page article appeared on the last issue of
magazine in these days. I'd like to thank them for their hard work on this initiative and Roberto Brodolini and his staff at Special Mag for their support to the entire project in Rome. But the greatest thank you goes to all the riders who joined the meeting with their special bikes and their unmatchted enthusiasm.

Special Cafè in questi giorni. Vorrei ringraziare loro per il gran lavoro svolto su questa iniziativa e Roberto Brodolini e il suo staff di Special Mag per aver sostenuto l'intero progetto a Roma. Ma il più grande ringraziamento va a tutti i motociclisti che hanno partecipato alla riunione con le loro special ed il loro entusiasmo senza pari.

Noli from Manila (Philippines). Elvira is apparently his grandmother’s name, as she gave him his first bike when he was 4 yo. Photos are by

A smart talent, because they work on recovered motorcycles, completely worn out or abandoned, and bring them to new life in order to make them readily available to the enthusiasts and could see them early in the streets, without waiting for a rare rich client of an expensive bespoke classic built on the basis of an expensive and rare piece. Adam e Tom Jasiński(ATJ) sono due fratelli polacchi con un sogno: creare belle motociclette in un atelier tutto loro. Io dico che abbiano tutte le carte in regole per farlo e non solo perché leggono l’Inazuma cafè e mi mandano di prima mano le foto della loro opera, ma perché, come potete vedere, questi giovani hanno talento. Un talento intelligente, perché lavorano su motociclette di recupero, in gran parte semidistrutte o abbandonate, e le portano a nuova vita mettendole direttamente alla portata degli appassionati, potendole così vedere presto in giro per le strade, senza aspettare il sempre più improbabile ricco committente di una costosa fuori serie costruita sulla base di un pezzo raro. Following the path of
Deus ex Machina,
66 Motorcycles is a new brand in Freemantle, Australia. Their workshop opened recently and this small but lovely
Yamaha XS225 is one of their first builts. Discovered thx to my friends of
Australian Cafe Racers.

The several
Ducati Monster's fans will be happy. At
Benjies Cafe Racer they have just completed their project on a 2007
SR2R 800. As they say, they decided to take the bike apart, and turn it into a tracker/urban scrambler with a "
little steam punk flare". Having said that, one of the most qualifying features of this bike, style apart (which is certainly excellent) is that the plastic have been completely removed and fine alluminium parts are now there instead. All the details of the work are on

I numerosi fan del Ducati Monster saranno contenti. Alla
Benjies Cafe Racer hanno appena completato il loro progetto su un
2007 SR2R 800. Come essi stessi raccontano, hanno deciso di mettere da parte l'origianario stile della moto, e di trasformarla in una tracker / scrambler urbana con un guizzo "
steam punk". Detto questo, una delle caratteristiche più qualificanti di questa moto, stile a parte (che è certamente eccellente) è che la plastica è stata completamente rimossa e, al suo posto, troviamo raffinate parti in alluminio. Tutti i dettagli del lavoro sono nel

After a disastrous accident this
K75S was definitely shabby. The owner decided to entrust it to
Goodbike Rome to turn it into a Café Racer, with an eye to the budget. Conical filter, leather body cover, new fork springs and shocks... This is the result.
Dopo un rovinoso incidente questa
K75S si presentava decisamente malandata. Il proprietario ha deciso di di affidarla a
Goodbike di Roma per trasformarla in una Cafè Racer, con un occhio particolare al contenimento della spesa. Filtro conico, carrozzeria rivestita in pelle, nuova coda, idraulica rivista... Questo è il risultato.

Do you remember the
CBN400 of the early eighties? A reliable twin engine,
Bold d'Or-like style, all you needed if you weren't rich enough to buy a bigger Honda and you didn't want to get an old used
CB400 four. Nowadays this bike doesn't look that attractive and it's very difficult to turn into something really cool (I noticed only few
acceptable examples indeed). This try is from
Jasiński brothers (ATJ) from Polland. Not too bad and surely very effective for a budget project

CBN400 dei primi anni Ottanta? Un bicilindrico affidabile, stile
Bold d'Or, tutto il necessario se non eri abbastanza ricco per comprare una Honda più grande e non volevi accontentarti di un vecchio
CB400 four usato. Al giorno d'oggi questa moto non ha più un aspetto attraente ed è molto difficile da trasformare in qualcosa di veramente
cool (ho notato davvero solo pochi
esempi accettabili). Questo tentativo è da fratelli
Jasinski (ATJ) dalla Polonia. Non male e sicuramente molto efficace per un progetto a basso costo.
