This 1979
Kawasaki Z1000 is the last release of
Spirit of the Seventies, codenamed
S5-Z. It has been bored to 1075 cc, shortened the rear, added a bespoke tail and seat, and a new fat rim on the back has been installed in a
Zephir swingarm. A
Triumph 955 front end and a taylor-made exhaust system complete the main features.

Kawa Z1000 del 1979 è l'ultima realizzazione di
Spirit of the Seventies: nome in codice
S5-Z. E’ stata portata a 1075 cc, accorciata nel posteriore, ha ricevuto un nuovo codino e una sella custom, un nuovo cerchio maggiorato al retrotreno con forcellone
Zephir. L’avantreno di una
Triumph 955 e il sistema di scarico dedicato completano le caratteristiche principali.

Effectively, it's the Jubilee for the 75 years of business of the German retailer of bike accessories
"Louis". The brand commissioned
Marcus Walz a special to celebrate it. The donor bike is a
Ducati Sport Classic. The photos are by

In 1996, when I went on honeymoon in Indonesia, I visited a small town in the heart of Java, called
Jogjakarta. I do not think that at that time the studio
Daritz Design was already operating. In fact, the photos that I show you, a
Kawasaki KZ 200 beautifully transformed with a classic look and a nice Springer fork, are esactly from there. 200cc can be considered as a large displacement over there... But, in hindsight, they are enough to have fun even in our western cities. Every now and then, it's worth thinking about it. (

Nel 1996, quando andai in viaggio di nozze in Indonesia, visitai una piccola città nel cuore di Java: Jogjakarta. Non credo che, all'epoca, l'atelier
Daritz Design fosse già operativo. Infatti, le foto che vi mostro, relative a una
Kawasaki KZ 200 splendidamente trasformata con un look classico e una bellissima forcella Springer, vengono proprio da lì. 200cc possono considerarsi una grossa cilindrata da quelle parti... Our last adventure took place on the weekend of the 24th of November, when we decided with no hesitation to join the Cesena's Kustom Kulture bike show.
We had never taken part to a bike show until that moment, and we never had the opportunity to show our work to the 2-wheels fans or to the passionates.

"During the exhib we had the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting folks: first of all Big Marco, a veteran from the 70s' races, with whom we share the same roots. We were charmed by him and his bike the "Scheggiaspina". And we met Daniele with his dragster, which in this exact moment is running in Yokohama, Japan. Then Nicola, Monica, and their crew the Rockers Klan, born to pour in your mouth good whisky on and on. We can't not mention then Walter and the Black Devils' guys, and the night we spent at their club house, where we were heathen up by a really old school stove, made by an old classic oil bin. Moreover we eventually met Matteo Br Moto, a customizer who in addition to a recognized talent, has as well the humility that allows freaks like us to make deep connections based on passion. And a special mention goes to the emotion of meeting a lot of our fans... more than we could even imagine. It was just a 2 days exhibition, but all those sensations will stay with us for a while. "

Grant Salter and
Jesse Greening of
Cafe Fabricationcompleted this project in 13 months: it includes several changes to the original Honda SOHC, including electronic fuel injection and inverted forks...Even too much for those of us who love the way it was... But the final result doesn't go unnoticed anyway.

This 77" Yamaha XS750 triple was built by
Ugly Motor Bikesin Southern California and is now on sale on
Seaweed and gravel site.com/blogs/news. The electronics and battery have been relocated and hidden under the custom metal seat/tail. The motor has been rebuilt with custom engraved filtered velocity stacks and one off 3-3 baffled exhaust give this bike an aggressive sound that should put a smile on any enthusiasts face. The matte finish and use of leather gives this bike, according to to
S&G, an overall look of a gentleman's racer with the simplicity of the "girl next door". Whatever they say, I like it.
Questa Yamaha XS750 del 1977 modificata Cafe Racer è stata costruita da
Ugly Motorbikes a San Diego in California ed è ora in vendita sul sito
Seaweed and gravel. L'elettronica e la batteria sono stati spostati e nascosti sotto la coda artigianale in metallo. Il motore è stato ricostruito con gli abituali cornetti lo scarico libero 3in3 dare a questa moto un suono aggressivo che dovrebbe infondere il buon umore in ogni appassionato. La finitura opaca e l'uso di pelle dà questa moto, secondo
S&G, un un look da gentleman's racer con la semplicità della "ragazza della porta accanto". Qualunque cosa dicano, mi piace.
